I won't lie and say I loved this track after the first listen, but there's something about it that feels addictive and I ended up enjoying it more with each new play. This one isn't a K-pop song like most tracks I remix but oh well, it's somehow connected to it and I really wanted to work on it anyway.

The tempo is quite fast, as it goes at 135BPM, so although I wanted to go with a powerful bass-house track at first, I ended up softening the sound a bit so it'd be more of a catchy dance-pop song. Moreover, I used the 'clean edit' vocals as I like the lyrics more, and I altered the structure to extend the song a bit more, so I hope you'll enjoy it too!

・How did you make this?
Extracting the vocals from the original song it's the first step and I usually do that at moises.ai, unless the result doesn't sound too good, in which case I'd look for an acapella track on YouTube and I'd credit the channel where I found it. Then I go to Tunebat to check the BPM, and after that I just start composing music taking inspiration from whatever genre I think it might suit the song!

・Are you taking remix requests?
Not really, but suggestions are always welcome!

・Can I use this remix somewhere else?
As long as you properly credit me and you don't make any kind of profit out of it, sure!

Si cet opéra inspiré par le roman de l’abbé Prévost est devenu l’un des plus populaires de Jules Massenet, c’est que le drame y prend corps dans une expression musicale aussi féconde que variée.

Alternant récitatifs, formes musicales évoquant le XVIIIe siècle et grands airs lyriques ou virtuoses (« Manon, sphynx étonnant », « Je marche sur tous les chemins »), la partition renouvelle les conventions de l’opéra-comique.

Au-delà de l’histoire d’une passion amoureuse, l’œuvre dresse un tableau des mœurs de la Régence autant qu’elle reflète celles de la Troisième République – période de la création de Manon. Cette société du plaisir qui cache soigneusement la brutalité et le sordide, c’est aussi celle des Années folles que Vincent Huguet choisit comme écrin pour sa mise en scène.
