Nesta quinta-feira, 10 de abril de 2025, a produtora cultural Júlia Ho participou do programa Expresso 104,5, para dar detalhes da segunda edição do Festival Horizontes Mapping, que ocorre neste sábado, 12, em BH.

O evento mistura tecnologia e performances visuais no centro de Belo Horizonte, com a proposta de apresentar a técnica de criação audiovisual digital, que envolve o ajuste preciso de uma imagem de vídeo à superfície de um objeto: o videomapping cria efeitos visuais que valorizam a arquitetura da cidade, tecendo uma narrativa que coloca a arte como grande protagonista em meio ao cenário urbano da capital. Oito artistas são convidados nesta edição: Mobius Studio, VJ Eletroiman, Tuto, Coletivo Corrocobó, VJ Bah, PYÄTY, Holy.xtian e VJ Flame. A festa conta também com seis DJs. We nemen je mee naar de tweede editie van de Gouden Vink. Elf teams gingen de uitdaging aan om de beste CX-strategie te ontwikkelen voor een realistische klantcase.

Je krijgt een mini-college van Kees Kerkvliet, customer experience-expert, over customer journey mapping. Hij benadrukt het belang van het valideren van aannames bij echte klanten en gaat in op het verschil tussen de experiencing self en de remembering self bij klantervaringen.

Sabine Oosterholt van VodafoneZiggo licht de klantcase toe waarmee de teams aan de slag gingen. Het ging om een klantreis rond het oriënteren, kopen en installeren van een nieuw internet- en televisiepakket. De focus lag op een persona genaamd Thomas, een vader van drie kinderen met wifi-problemen thuis.

Arne van Weenen vertelt over het hoe en waarom van dit event, Tinne van den Broeck deelt waar zij als jurylid op let en natuurlijk spreken we met verschillende deelnemers en de winnaars!

Au bord du Canal Saint-Denis, l’eau est partout et ne se fait entendre presque nulle part. Accompagnant le mouvement du courant, du parc de la Villette au cœur de Saint-Denis, on suit ses variations sonores, sa façon d’apparaître et de disparaître dans le paysage accessible aux oreilles. L’eau d’abord silencieuse, puis éclatant parfois sous son propre fracas… Il faut chercher tout ce qui, à son contact et dans ses remous, peut se mettre à résonner.

On the banks of the Canal Saint-Denis, water is everywhere, and almost nowhere to be heard. Following the movement of the current, from the Parc de la Villette to the heart of Saint-Denis, we follow its variations in sound, the way it appears and disappears in the landscape accessible to the ears. The water is at first silent, then sometimes bursting into its own roar... You have to look for everything that, in its contact and in its eddies, can begin to resonate.

Création sonore – Following the Water

Cette pièce sonore compose avec les sons des chantiers de construction et des zones de transition le long du Canal Saint-Denis. Ces paysages sonores brisés, auxquels s’entremêlent des fragments de The Waste Land de T.S. Eliot, font écho à l'épuisement, à la discontinuité et aux possibilités latentes d'un territoire en mouvement. Au fil des textures sonores brutes et d'es énoncés poétiques, une écoute stratifiée émerge : où le rugissement des machines converse avec les ruines modernes du texte, ouvrant une brèche délicate dans le paysage auditif du canal.

This composition draws from the sounds of construction sites and transitional zones along the Canal Saint-Denis. Layered with fragments of T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land, these broken soundscapes echo the exhaustion, discontinuity, and latent possibilities of a shifting territory. Through the interplay of raw sonic textures and poetic utterance, a stratified listening emerges: where the roar of machinery converses with the modern ruins of the text, opening a delicate breach in the canal’s auditory landscape.

The globetrotting story of how humans have harnessed the geographical landscape and written ourselves onto our surroundings.

Mountains, meridians, rivers, and borders—these are some of the features that divide the world on our maps and in our minds. But geography is far less set in stone than we might believe, and, as Maxim Samson’s Earth Shapers contends, in our relatively short time on this planet, humans have become experts at fundamentally reshaping our surroundings.

From the Qhapaq Ñan, the Inca’s “great road,” and Mozambique’s colonial railways to a Saudi Arabian smart city, and from Korea’s sacred Baekdu-daegan mountain range and the Great Green Wall in Africa to the streets of Chicago, Samson explores how we mold the world around us. And how, as we etch our needs onto the natural landscape, we alter the course of history. These fascinating stories of connectivity show that in our desire to make geographical connections, humans have broken through boundaries of all kinds, conquered treacherous terrain, and carved up landscapes. We crave linkages, and though we do not always pay attention to the in-between, these pathways—these ways of “earth shaping,” in Samson’s words—are key to understanding our relationship with the planet we call home.

An immense work of cultural geography touching on ecology, sociology, history, and politics, Earth Shapers argues that, far from being constrained by geography, we are instead its creators.
