MARCUS INTALEX - '94- '04

This months spotlight falls on the late great Marcus Intalex. Another amazing Producer behind some of my favourite all time DnB tunes. 
The term legend gets thrown around far too easily these days but this guy was a true D&B LEGEND
Co-Host of Da Intalex  Radio Show on Kiss 102 FM beween 1993 and 2000 and The founder of the record labels Soul:R, Revolve:R and Birdie.
For this episode I am gonna concentrate on the time  period between '94 and '04 with a selection of his releases under Marcus Intalex, Da Intalex, Some classic Remixes, Collaborations and alot of the tunes released with M.I.S.T.& Mist:i:cal with S.T Files & Calibre.

As we start to move into spring/summer 2025 its time for the next entry in the magic hour mix series. Heavily influenced by a recent trip to fabric for 1985/GeminiGemini x Rubi Records, which was incredible. This one has a clear divide at the midpoint where darker sounds are explored. As this is the seventh entry in the series, this one goes out to Cloud Strife! Also a massive thank you to Submorphics for sending Rosebay006 over on dub. D-Bridge had posted that Love's Ugly Child celebrated its 20th birthday this year - the release which was the start of a new musical career for him after Bad Company. This prompted me to want to play that tune again, and it made me get out all my other Soul:r releases, as well as all the classic smooth Marcus Intalex tunes I have. It's not quite a liquid set, but probably as close as I'd get! Definitely a lot of great tunes in here again, and I really enjoyed the flow I ended up with - hope you'll enjoy it too!

Originally from Amsterdam, and now based in Cambridge UK, Dr. Squee has been into DnB since before the turn of the century and DJing for more than two decades. Long time resident DJ on DnB radio Jungletrain.net, currently on a bi-weekly Tuesday evening schedule (21:00-23:00 UK time).
