If Not For The Light is the latest classical masterpiece by the renowned composer Jeremias Jeremias Langsämmer. This evocative work is divided into three distinct movements—Dusk, Night, and Dawn—each capturing the essence of its respective time of day through a rich tapestry of sound and emotion.

Dusk
The opening movement, Dusk, sets the stage with a somber and reflective tone. As the day begins to wane, a mournful cello takes the lead, its deep, resonant notes echoing the gradual slowing of time. The reflective piano intersperses with delicate strings, creating an atmosphere of contemplation and melancholy. The French horn then gently enters, signaling the approach of night and adding a touch of warmth and solemnity to the piece. This movement beautifully encapsulates the transition from the bustling activity of the day to the quiet, introspective hours of the evening.

Night
The second movement, Night, delves into the mysterious and dream-like qualities of the nocturnal hours. It begins with a plucked cello, its steady rhythm marking the passage of time in the dark. As the movement progresses, distant choral voices emerge, ethereal and otherworldly, as if whispering dreams into the stillness of the night. These voices, combined with the subtle instrumentation, create a surreal and enchanting soundscape that evokes the depth and tranquility of sleep.

Dawn
The final movement, Dawn, heralds the arrival of a new day with a clear and hopeful tone. A melodic piano takes center stage, its bright and uplifting notes symbolizing the break of light and the promise of a fresh start. This movement is characterized by its optimistic and rejuvenating melody, which gradually builds in intensity and complexity. The hopeful piano is accompanied by gentle strings, weaving a tapestry of sound that culminates in a triumphant and harmonious finale, embodying the dawn's radiant and invigorating spirit.

If Not For The Light is a testament to Jeremias Langsämmer's ability to capture the nuanced emotions and transitions of the day through his music. Each movement is a carefully crafted vignette, painting a vivid auditory picture that transports listeners through the tranquil passage of time from dusk to dawn.

“Askya” is the opening track from 8 by Laxá & Heima Kvartett — a post-rock collective blending Icelandic string quartet textures with guitar, bass, drums, and organ.

Inspired by the volcanic landscape of Askja in Iceland’s highlands, this piece is dedicated to guitarist Jussi Siglarson. The composition unfolds in three movements:

I. Pizzicato strings and guitar introduce the volcanic landscape.

II. Contemplative layers of bass and strings lead into Jussi’s gentle guitar theme.

III. A reggae-inspired bassline and plucked strings drive urgency before the quartet returns, lifting the track to a cinematic close.

Victor Bouzard is a French pianist and composer. Coming from a musical family and a grandfather who was an orchestra conductor, he trained at the conservatory as a violinist, then discovered a passion for the piano as a teenager that he never left. Today at over 50, he decides to share his compositions which have spanned all his years, hence the album Nostalgia, Melancholy and Dreaming were born in 2024. Between some inspirations from jazz, classical or film music, Victor takes us on an emotional journey that connects him to his memories, his encounters and his friendships

Denys is trying to do sonic art that helps to understand feelings and which is beyond any opposites...

He was in philosophy studies since 2003 (Dnipro, Ukraine) and eventually came to conclusion that some profound ideas (say, pre-established harmony, real and actual etc.), cannot be expressed in terms of logic and discourse only. His guess that at some point an aesthetics is another field that aids the Truth with speechless yet more convincing Beauty.  

He hopes the melody and the rhythm of his music will serve listener as X and Y axis' for geometer - sometimes we need our attention and thought to be aided with "gauge". And this gauge is music. It helps to catch that resonance of the Memories that produces new intuition about the personal life.
