McAndrew was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. He is one of seven kids--four brothers and two sisters. John’s music is featured in the new film starring Jennifer Espisito, Olympia Dukakis, Charles Durning and Stacy Keach called " Jesus, Mary and Joey." His music is also in the new film called “Jake's Corner” starring Richard Tyson and Dianne Ladd.
It can truly be said that it is the passion for telling a tale that is attracting the attention of adult contemporary listeners and blues/pop fans. John McAndrew has come along at a time when the world is searching for its intrinsic "center." John is already there.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World

Not often do such young artists write music with such an old soul. Cody McAndrew's song writing may either make sense to you now, or in 20 years from now. His unique playing style and lyric writing come from years of experience playing up and down the west coast. He grew up in Central California, and spent more time growing up in the Bay Area and northern Washington. Much of this time was spent traveling and playing with different musicians along the way. He is now rooted in Long Beach, California trying to make a firm foundation in the Los Angeles music scene. Cody just realeased his debut acoustic album Alive! on Mean Mean Records in January of 2012. As a multi-instrumentalist, he is also working on other projects and another album over the course of the next year. 

The music of Electric Memory Box started as the four members gradually parted ways from previous band ʻAcusisʼ. Bassist Chris left in late 2008 but continued writing with the band to release their debut album ʻSeaside Backchatʼ, which was released in Japan with great success. Glenn joined the band on Bass and Adam climbed aboard to take on the live electronics. 

Throughout 2009 Chris, Glenn, Adam and drummer Marc, started to develop ideas, fusing live and electronic music under the pop umbrella. They slowly realised that as their sound evolved they were no longer in the genre realms that Acusis had put themselves into. In March 2010 when Acusis singer Michael Tarrant decided 
to pursue other projects, the four friends found the perfect opportunity to step into the music they had over the past year become so passionate about. 

The band finally felt that they were where they wanted to be. After a months intense songwriting and pulling together everything theyʼd already been working on, the band headed into the studio to record their ﬁrst set of tracks. 

With their new material and their first set of successful performances under their belt the boys are poised for success.
