This lecture discusses key ideas from the ancient philosopher Plato's dialogue, the Symposium, one of the great works of literature from the ancient world, focused on the nature of love.

This lecture focuses specifically on the speech made by Socrates (narrating an earlier discussion with the wise woman Diotima), in which he discusses Love's role as an intermediary between the gods and human beings.
