The Phoenix  (Asheville Movement Collective Ecstatic Dance)

This track, "Maya Nativa", is the second release of an 8-track album that is on its way. My album "Voz de La Selva" intends to be an album taking you on a sonic journey with the master plants of the Amazon, and into what a ceremony with me feels like. These are mostly all original chants, and instrumental flute pieces that have come through me with the medicine in ceremony.

"Maya Nativa" is an original piece performed on a drone native flute in B. It's a piece that has allowed me to go deeper and enjoy my native roots. Inspired by my Mayan lineage, and fused with my classical music training, and passion for world music, this is a unique flute piece sure to take you in a journey, and invite you to transmute through movement.

Dear Friends,

With joy in my heart, I’m sharing my latest ecstatic dance DJ set from Copenhagen.
Let this one be a sonic postcard to you all from the Danish capital, as it’s time for me and my partner Anna to move on to our next destination. Special shoutouts to the Burning Man community gathered around Lighthouse for the very special moments, and to all the friends and lovely people I met in CPH.

Starting next week, I’ll be residing in the Swiss Alps <3 I am very much looking forward to being back in nature and back on my snowboard! Whoo hoo! Who knows—maybe this time, our search for a new home will come to an end, and we’ll settle in Switzerland? That’s still an open question, but one thing is certain: the dancing will continue, and new music from the WAE project is on its way.

The Italo–African artist Akira is a DJ and Event producer who has been honing his craft in music for over a decade.
He can be seen as the magician of musical diversity, a character full of energy & depth, who has a huge repertoire of songs that will catch your senses and awaken your emotions.
For more than a decade has speen music on the dancefloors of Europe and he started his journey to ecstatic dance in the last 5 years when he became rapidly one of the leaders of the conscious DJ in the world, becoming one of the leaders in Mexico with his event Ecstatic dance camp, Full moon gatherings and performing epic sets at festivals, private parties and events all around the world.  

His musical outcomes offer multiple perspectives of his universe, combining a love for cosmic, heart-opening sounds, emotional melodies, conscious dance music with a raw modern groove, and tribal aesthetic.
The intention is to transform, empower, move emotions, and open a door path to the full potential through his music set.
He will take you on a journey through multicultural music genres, exploring ingenious influences, diverse electronic music, and beyond.

Flutist & vocalist Giselle is a captivating performing/recording artist infusing ritual & indigenous culture ​into the electronic scene. A classically trained musician who's been journeying in the electronic music scene for over 10 years. Through her travels & love of ceremony she's created a soundscape of unique textures fusing tribal electro-medicine-music whilst curating an alchemic experience honoring the elements & inspiring healing thru powerful use of indigenous chants & ancient mantras.

Giselle World is an international medicine woman, performing and recording artist & composer, who is also recognized for her musical healing contributions in the medicine community via singing and her flute working with various different Native American tribes, organizations, and ceremonies.

She has been extensively in service to plant medicines for 14 years studying with indigenous tribes from Mexico for her peyote trainings, and with tribes from the Brazilian Amazon, and Colombian and Peruvian tribes, as well where she embarked in deep master plant dietas.

Giselle is an advocate for indigenous rights, as well as sharing about indigenous wisdom and culture all over the world using music as the main tool by teaching about the cultures through workshops and song circles. She has also been a Humanities Professor in the university for over a decade.
Giselle has been invited to the United Nations as a speaker on a panel for Indigenous Mental Health, and to open ceremony and sing for World Oceans Day.

Giselle is on a mission to bring unity & consciousness to our earth and purpose as humans through plant medicine and music connecting people to the frequency of our Pachamama in all kinds of settings throughout our beautiful Mother Earth.

Martin, aka DJ Merlin the Alchemist, loves facilitating Ecstatic Dance Journeys. His special ingredient is creating a sacred space for transformation. Furthermore, he adds spoken invocations, supportive live instruments, and his alien voice. Whenever possible, he closes the dance with a live Gong Sound Journey. Years ago, he started with sound healing facilitation and, over time, also added Ecstatic Dance as a powerful modality. With all his experience from the former, he learned that holding space is his most crucial ingredient. We can only drop out of the mind and into ecstasy when we feel safe. Thus, he values all guidelines for ecstatic dance. No drugs, no shoes, no talking, no phones, and deep respect for everyone else are a time-tested recipe for unforgettable and embodied Ecstatic Dance journeys.
