This event united a vibrant community of students, researchers and technologists, all driven by a shared mission: advancing innovations in aging research and longevity science.

Key Highlights from the Future of Aging Research Mixer 2024

The event kicked off with inspiring opening remarks and a keynote by George Church, professor at Harvard Medical School, founding member of the Wyss Institute, and co-founder of over 50 biotech companies. He was joined by Kat Kajderowicz, an MIT PhD student and Principal at age1. Together, they highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of aging research and its immense potential to drive transformative advancements.

Jesse Poganik, HMS Instructor in Medicine and Executive Co-Director of the Biomarkers of Aging Consortium, discussed the evolution of aging science and the critical role biomarkers play in understanding aging processes and assessing the effectiveness of interventions aimed at slowing or reversing age-related changes.

Alex Colville, co-founder and general partner at age1, explained how venture capital can accelerate innovation in longevity biotechnology. He shared career advice for aspiring researchers and paid tribute to his mentor, Dr. David Sinclair, a pioneer in aging research.

These talks highlighted the importance of mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and investment in driving progress in the aging research field.

1992 - 1993 - první pokusy na Didaktiku Gama v programech Wham! a Music Studio

1993 - 1998 - Amiga 500 Plus a ProTracker 3.10b, V roce 1995 pak i sampler "JRC Cvrček". V roce 1997 pak Amiga 1200 (6 MB RAM + 60 MB HDD).

2004 - 2005 - po mnoha letech, kdy jsem se věnoval djingu začínám znovu tvořit - v tomto období ve Fruity Loops 3.5 (tady: http://www.soundcloud.com/cosmic_monchi)

2005 - 2007 - přecházím na G3 Maca a instaluju Reason 2.5, protože jsem nic jiného nesehal - a zůstávám u Reasona dodnes (v současné době používám rewire Reason 10 + Cubase Pro 8). 

2007 - přecházím opět na PC, začínám občas živě vystupovat a dávám si jméno Seroquel.

od 2010 - začínám používat i Cubase SX3

od 2013 - začínám používat Cubase 5

od 2015 - přechod zpět na Maca a začínám používat Reason 7 + Cubase Pro 8

od 2018 - kupuju si Reason 10

HW: Mac mini late 2014 (2,6 GHz i5 Haswell, 8 GB RAM), zvukovka E-MU Tracker Pre, reproduktory JBL LSR-308

od unora 2020 - upgrade zvukovky na Tascam US-144MkII

od cerven 2022 - prechod na iMac 21" late 2013 (2,7 Ghz i5 Haswell, 4 core, 8 GB RAM)

1992 - 1993 - the first experiments with Didaktik Gama (slovakian clone of ZX Spectrum  48kB) in the Wham! and Music Studio.

1993 - 1998 - Amiga 500 Plus and ProTracker 3.10b, in 1995 then the sampler "JRC Cvrček (cricket)." and in 1997 Amiga 1200 with 6 MB RAM and 60 MB HDD.

since 2015 - return on the Mac and start using Reason 7 + Cubase Pro 8

since 2018 - I buy Reason 10

since january 2023 - change soundcard to Steinberg UR22 MkII and moving back to PC - i7 Haswell 3,2 GHz / 4 core / 16 GB RAM / Win 11

since april 2024 - except PC I am move back to iMac 21", this time late 2015 (2,6 Ghz i5 Broadwell, 4 core, 16 GB RAM) and upgrade of the soundcard to the SSL 2+

since june 2024 - I am to change monitors. From JBL LSR 308 to Cerwin-Vega! XD5.
