Those familiar with the groove doctor that is Smiley, are no strangers to his signature sounds illustrated in his live performances. A Co-founder of the Melbourne based house music movement, “Seeing Double” and a former resident DJ at Circus Bar & Nightclub, Smiley’s sets are rooted in soulful house. His unique style comes from his ability to freely travel outside club tastes, seamlessly incorporating old-school disco, tribal, jackin’ house and whatever catches his fancy. As always with Smiley, the best is yet to come. Influenced by the likes of Late Nite Tuff Guy, Luke Vecchio, Angelo Ferreri & Purple Disco Machine, he remains a leader and innovator who stays true to the history and roots of house music while always pushing to innovate and explore future sounds.
 
BROWN BOY MAGIC / @brownboymagic
Born and bred in the tropics of Sri Lanka, Brown Boy Magic’s affair with music dates back to his childhood in the late 90's at intimate house parties hosted by his parents. With initial influences such as the Bee Gees, Lobo, & Marvin Gaye to name a few, this boy found himself dancing the night away to every tune. After moving to the land down under at the tender age of 16, he realized his love for music only grew, and co-founded the Melbourne based collective ‘Seeing Double’ in 2020. Which has been the cause of some big smiles and good vibes during these trying times. Brown Boy Magic’s unique selection of music and taste in productions vary from Minimal Techno, to Latin beats, Jackin' House, as well as 70’s and 80’s Disco. Ensuring he curates the perfect vibe for all house music enthusiasts.

Bursting onto the scene Penelope Scarlett has already made a splash as a promising young DJ. Ever since getting her start in a DJ competition, Penelope has cut a distinct path for herself, with her own style of energetic, exciting sets. Penelope is well-versed in all things house & techno, bringing her impeccable mixing to everything from the grooviest of house to the darkest of melodic techno. Her euphoric stage presence has helped make a name for her across some of the most iconic venues in Melbourne including Revolver Upstairs, OneSixOne, New Guernica and Glamorama just to name a few. You will not want to miss her sets as she will have you pulling the dirtiest of bass faces whilst wrapping you up in all the feelings to her favourite tunes.

A weekly show on Kiss FM that showcases and promotes talented Australian underground house and techno artists. Every week presenters Mount Mike and Liam Kendall bring a fresh selection of tunes from their week’s crate digging, dumpster diving and internet lurking. They hope to bring the listener music they may not have heard before and put an emphasis on local producers and DJs. Liam and Mike are passionate about the Melbourne scene and want to create a space that highlights the calibre of music coming out of their city and island.

Devloe is an artist, producer and old-school DJ that likes to describe himself as a “world-travelled military brat”, thanking Germany for his strong electronic roots and the Bay Area, California for his swagger. He spent two decades mastering his ability to create and mix electronic music before he decided it was ready for release in late 2021. 

Devloe and his impressive catalogue has landed various label deals with Gaming Playlist, Tropical House / Melodicity, Blanco y Negro, Frequency Music, and more. 

There is a rich history behind the stage name ‘Devloe‘ that reveals a lot more about this rising producer. One aspect being the years he spent living ‘that struggling musician life’, and ending up taking a job as a software developer, or ‘dev’ for short. It also refers back to his time as a graffiti artist when he was younger, using the name ‘Develop’ as his tag. This producer has already earned himself a respectable fanbase, reaching over 6 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and there’s sure to be a lot more where that came from.
