My dad was one of the sharpest minds I knew. A quiet force. After a stroke, he started forgetting things—names, moments, even me sometimes. He’s still here… but not really.

This is grief before death.
For anyone who’s watched someone fade while their body stays behind.

I wrote this because I don’t know what hurts worse—losing someone forever, or losing them while they’re still here.
