Coming off his fourth championship title on Barz Breakdown Versus League; T Gemz is ready to tell another story. This story covers the darkest chapter of his life as he went through pain, suffering, heartbreak, anger, and triumph all within a six month period while he and his wife were homeless. 

With songs like "The Reset" and "That's on Me" to songs like "Welcome," "Element," and "Legacy;" not only is T Gemz opening up and being his most vulnerable and transparent he's EVER been, but he's still rapping at a high level while showcasing an elite level of lyricism while he's doing it. This album tells a story and shows WHY he's being mentioned with the greats while doing so.  

All while still pursuing his dream and passion of Hip-hop, Gemz and his wife became homeless. During this time, his wife was diagnosed with polyneuropathy (severe nerve damage) and was very close to death. This album touches on this with songs like "Still Can't Fuck Wit Me" "King," and "Moxie" showing that no matter what happens; he's going to be there for his wife as her King while still showing his dominance on the BBVL platform. 

There are multiple persona's when it comes to Gemz. You've been familiar with the "The Dark Hxrse" persona on mixtapes like "Best Outta 317" and "Magembu." I was born with a devil up on my shoulder

He became more evil the more I grew older

I'm torn and cold, feeling forced to deceive

They never knew the level of pain I receive

Ashamed to reveal that I'm not feeling SANE

I stay in silence, afraid I'll be blamed

Always being judged

like I'm embracing the flames

Like I started the fire

and put myself in these chains

I'd like to see them SURVIVE A NIGHT IN MY BRAIN 

Feel the darkness that courses my veins

Like if I cut them open, I'd be causing the RAIN 

They have no clue what the devil is saying

And when I know he's there they act like I'm playing

Like I can get better if I leave where I'm staying

Like I'm not a prisoner, fading, still waiting

For someone to save me but they can't find the key

Tyrece Love aka "T Gemz," is a Midwest Native born and raised on the East side of Indianapolis, IN. He was influenced at a young age by some of the genres greatest artists like; Bone Thugs, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Big L, and many more. As a young kid in 5th grade, Ty has always been drawn to wordplay and multi-syllabic rhyme schemes. This influenced him to start writing at a very young age. 

Overtime, after rap battles in the lunch room, cyphers in his college dorm, uploading freestyles online, his peers urged him to start recording professionally. He began to take it to the next level at age 21. Ty has performed live in Michigan, Chicago, Muncie, Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, Ohio, and Kansas City. At the age of 27, Ty walked away from a high paying promising career in corporate America in order to pursue his passion as a Hip-Hop artist. 

What tends to draw people to his music is his complex writing style, captivating delivery, and “room shaking” double and triple entendres which exhibits his vast vocabulary. His visuals, attire, and imagery are inspired by DC, Marvel, and anime culture. 

Influenced by artists like Eminem, Sa-Roc, Rapsody, Jean Grae, T.D.E., Slaughterhouse, NF, Aesop Rock, and Jazz musicians like Martin Tingvall; You can expect to hear dark undertones in his instrumentation with very technical wordplay and writing structure.

I sing acoustic singer-songwriter music, or folk-pop. I started out by learning the piano when I was five years old, and the violin followed shortly afterwards, then the clarinet, the harp...
I concentrate on guitar and ukulele-based tunes now, with songs also written for piano, for example 'Comet' which received airplay with BBC Radio 6. I graduated from university with a degree in Music and Creative Writing in 2013. I like to think I knew how to write a good tune before I got anywhere near university...
I've toured around the UK festival scene as an up and coming act and released two EPs. I got to play the same festival with the likes of Tom Odell, Frank Turner, Razorlight, John Newman: big British names. I'm an independent musician with big aspirations.
