DEMON FLIGHT?!

This song is the continuation of my other song "Boss battle against the planet-sized eyeball".   

This time the song is more dynamic, epic, longer and faster!

The drum-work is also greatly improved with more variation and has a lot of different patterns compared to the other song.

With this one I wanted to explore more elements than just metal. This song offers new stuff blastbeats, other fast drumming stuff and even JAZZ!!!

Very intense encouter with the otherwordly being but then gets interupted by a jazz band

At some point I noticed that I had made an original Megalo for some of the more popular Undertale AUs (ahem go check them out AHEM) but not one for Underfell. I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of this AU, but I do think it has quite some potential for music. And I wanted to try going back to Jazz after a while, so I've been slowly cooking this, and I got to say I'm happy with the result!

Little fun fact: This song is just Megalovania but with negative melodies (which means flipping them vertically). It's something that I had already done with Power Fantasy, and it's pretty fun to work that way, sooo, yeah. Enjoy!

Surfpunk

So finally the album is done! This was the last track! Surfpunk came out far better than my expectations. It’s a cross between jazz, funk, very heavy thrash metal drums, a touch of trap in some places, and a cinematic surfer feel over all. Plus it was great writing the solos for piano and trumpet. It’s a rocking tune with a lot of percussion and brass, with a tight bassline holding it all together.

So 16 songs done for this album! I’m guessing it’s around an hour and 10 minutes give or take. I’ll have to double check. I’ll create a playlist with all 16 tracks in album order for everyone at some point this week! But it was a great project to work on, and there’s plenty of material for the next album, with SugarFunk Avalanche already done and uploaded. The next album will be all over the place genre-wise just like this one, containing various sorts of electronica, Goa trance, EDM, and hybrid cinematic orchestral styles. Enjoy!

Shatter The Matrix is one of the projects of composer Phil Justin, mostly high octane electronica music pulling from Goa trance, psytrance, world music, metal, funk, industrial, EDM, jazz as well as a ton of cinematic and orchestral colors. No real way to describe it except influences draw all the way from Infected Mushroom, Shpongle and Juno Reactor to John Williams, Danny Elfman and Bjork. With everything in between.
