The compositional project is inspired by the music of Gustav Mahler from which it draws musical and literary suggestions that are reworked and reinterpreted to give life to a musical performance divided into three moments:

The composition is conceived as a musical action whose protagonist is Alma, voice and scenic interpreter, who acts by penetrating the sound scenography built by the instrumental ensemble. The choice of the name is not accidental and allows for the creation of a mix between the personal experience of the Bohemian composer and his artistic production. The name Alma, in fact, brings to mind the woman to whom Mahler linked his life.
Almas Traum tells in music a (possible) dream of Alma Mahler Schindler.
The itinerary followed by the protagonist on the scene becomes an emblem of the possibilities offered to Humanity.

The composition is inspired by the "Voynich manuscript," often referred to as one of the world's most mysterious books. Created around the 15th or 16th century, it is a still undeciphered "text" approximately 213 pages long, accompanied by strange diagrams and illustrations. The manuscript gained wider recognition in the last century when it was accidentally discovered in 1912 at a Jesuit college near Rome by a book dealer named Wilfrid M. Voynich, after whom the work is named. Many cryptographers, codebreakers, and linguists have attempted to decipher the Voynich manuscript, but the incomprehensible cipher, along with the peculiar illustrations of plants, symbols, and people, remains unexplained. As of now, it is not known whether the textual part of the Voynich manuscript encodes an unknown language or consists of a series of visual signs. Research is still ongoing, and the text is currently held by Yale University. To reflect the strange nature of this story, the language heard in the composition is invented by the composer.

La musique est au cœur de la vie de Camille Bordet. Jeune chanteuse lyrique mezzo-soprano, au timbre de voix rond et chaud, elle repousse sans cesse "les limites de sa pratique vocale". Elle a cette curiosité du monde et des autres qui la mène sur des chemins de traverse étonnants. De l’Arménie où elle séjourne quelques mois à l’Iran au fil d'une rencontre amoureuse avec la langue et la poésie persanes. 
Dans cet épisode de Créatrices, elle évoque la technique lyrique qui met tout le corps en vibration et agit comme un antidépresseur au service de l’émotion. Interpréter ne suffit pas pour Camille ; elle met en perspective les contextes historiques et les réalités d’aujourd’hui pour incarner ces héroïnes d’opéra aux destins souvent tragiques.
"On est obligé d’être à l’écoute de la société. C’est tout l’enjeu de l’opéra, de la musique classique, sortir de l’image d’un art poussiéreux réservé à des gens très riches." Mais aussi de remettre au centre les femmes compositrices gommées d’une histoire écrite par les hommes…

After thriving in the vibrant theatre and music scene of Korea, I’ve recently found my voice and am excited to share my journey with you.

I've been learning computer programming since I was 11, teaching myself HTML by looking at source code.
Recently, I rediscovered my affinity for working with different technologies.
Using my years of musical background and training, I sing and play instruments.
I started incorporating AI to help adapt my old writings from over 30 years of writing and to heal.
I can do the classic pen-to-paper writing of musical theory, but I face some challenges in the process due to my own issues.
I work with multiple AI systems, coding, my voice, multiple AI voices, SoundTrap mixing, and other tools, so it’s not all strictly AI.
If anything, AI gives me a base melody, which I then use my coding skills and musical knowledge to design the song.
It isn’t just a roll-of-the-dice situation for all the haters.

Teacher and Composer

Born in Palermo in 1983, Giuseppe Gammino attended at the Conservatory of Music “V. Bellini” of Palermo, where got a bachelor degree in violin. He attended at the University of Palermo, where he  got his master degree (laurea magistrale) in musicology under the guidance of Massimo Privitera. He played in a lots of orchestras, he collaborates with the press area of the Massimo Theatre of Palermo and the press area of “Musicheria Magazine On-Line”. He attended at the music composition degree course at the Conservatory of Music “C. Monteverdi” of Bolzano, under the guidance of Heinrich Unterhofer. In 2013 his composition Quasi un divertimento for violin and flute, received several praises and positive remarks, at the musical contest Un “divertimento” per la convivenza, organized by the Collegium Musicum of Bolzano. His composition per aspera Ad Astra (2013) for bass clarinet, viola and live electronics, was performed at the Museion, Museum of modern and contemporary art of Bolzano; while the piece Connection failed was performed in November 2014 at the 40th Contemporary Music Festival. In 2016 he was selected among the best three composers as part of the "Residence for Composers" project, organized by the Municipality of Salorno and the "C. Monteverdi ”in Bolzano at the“ Sculpture garden ”of Pochi di Salorno. In July 2016, the piece Siddhartha I was ranked second from the competition organized by the Südtiroler Künstlerbund (SKB) in the context of “Settimane Mahleriane di Dobbiaco”. In 2019 the contemporary music festival of Bolzano commissioned him a piece, Pelle II, performed by the percussionist quartet conTakt on 11/13/2019.

Maxwell Harrison Ratzky is an American-born musician and composer best known for his extensive work with various bands throughout the U.S. and U.K. He's established himself as a sought after multi-instrumentalist, performing and recording with artists such as Halsey, EERA, Kitten, Psychic Love, Overjoy, Veronica Bianqui, and We Should Be Dead. As a composer he's written works for film, media, and the concert hall. 

Proficient in guitar, piano, bass, and percussion, Ratzky's style is often described as haunting and restrained; emphasising dark tones and colours. As a guitarist, he's known for using effects pedals to achieve unique sound worlds and for advocating a less is more approach.

A graduate of the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in England, Ratzky also studied composition at London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance with composers Soosan Lolavar, Deirdre Gribbin, and Dominic Murcott.

He splits his time between London and Los Angeles.

Anna is a Latvian composer working in the areas of chamber music, opera, music for choir, instrumental solo pieces and electroacoustic musi. Fascinated by the most intricate properties of sound, she approaches it as a live organism that embodies a musical form in itself. Her work is often created in close collaboration with musicians, exploring the finest timbral, textural and technical possibilities of each instrument that eventually lead to meticulously designed sonoric architectures. Inspired by the mysteries of nature, she steps with it into a conversation through her music, colliding disciplined rationality and scientific research with feminine intuition and sensitive plasticity.
In 2019 her Tree Opera. Windthrow for eight voices, chamber ensemble and electronic track was premiered in Finland by the Grammy Award winning Latvia Radio Choir, chamber ensemble and Swedish Paetzold contrabass recorder player Anna Petrini. Anna is currently working on a composition for symphonic orchestra and large choir Carmen Sibyllae (Song of the Sibyl), based on Virgil’s 4th Eclogue, anticipated premiere in 2021.
