This was my first 'proper' attempt at a Tech House mix, where I planned the playlist beforehand and tried implement the skills and techniques I've been learning during the course.

Most of my previous mixes have focused on Tech House, so wanted to try something different. Absolutely loved this mix once I got a chance to listen to it back.

Twenty24 Progressing On - 01012024

Tech House mix to test and implement, the skills and techniques I've been learning during the ClubReadyDJ course. Wanted to play around with Tech House versions of RnB classics from the 90s and 00s for a nostalgia hit.

Started implementing 'beats' under sections which have low energy, as well as 'filtering' on the fly rather than prepping before recording.

As stressful as this was to record due to my anxiety, it was great to feel busy at the mixer rather than waiting for minutes at a time.

Continuing my official mixes after finishing the Club Ready DJ Course, whilst looking to incorporate new skills / techniques with each new mix. This one, including the use of acapellas. 

Discovered I have a growing love for the euphoria within some of these Progressive House tracks - and is there anything better than including one of your all time favorite songs?

This is what I've been working towards, my final submission for the Club Ready DJ course.

This final mix looks to incorporate some new skills, including FX and using filters on the mix to disguise the transitions.

It's safe to say I did botch a few early recordings due to nerves, but don't they say nerves just means you care about what you're doing!
