This is the Soundtrack of Daniel Kehlmann`s "Tyll",
made for the performance "Tyll" at Theater Ingolstadt (2022), directed by Alexander Nerlich, Stage by Wolfgang Menardi & Stella Lennert, Costumes by Zana Bosnjak, Choreografie by Zoe Gyssler in 2022, Choreografie before Corona: Alice Gartenschläger.
It takes you on a musical journey of the novel`s character "Tyll" into dark forests, to kings and queens. It also tells the story of a family and a friendship, almost a lovestory. The story musically travels to places and describes the relationships between characters that unfold during the Thirty Years`War.

Medieval music about Sir Percival, a man of noble birth who was raised by his mother deep in the forest, and who didn't know anything but knights, swords, and horses, until he saw a knight for himself and wanted to become one, leaving for King Arthur's court. 

Though rather uneducated, and lacking in chivalry and the noble bearings of a knight, he has a natural innocence about him, lacking in some of the other knights, and he eventually proves himself to be a warrior and joins the Knights of the Round Table. This music is called Sir Percival. We hope you enjoy listening to it!

We follow the paths by which the bishops of Rome – leaders of what had been a small church on the fringe of the Christian world – established themselves as the foremost spiritual leaders of Western Christendom and with time, as supreme heads of the global Catholic Church.  We follow the dramatic turns in the Papacy’s fortunes, as Popes alternate between pinnacles of power and prestige, commanding lands and armies, launching Crusades and outwitting emperors, and extreme lows of feebleness and humiliation, overruled by councils and overthrown by foreign kings.  We consider how the Papacy made use of the Renaissance and struggled to respond to the Protestant Reformation—before examining the history of the modern Papacy and the more recent Popes for Part 2.
