“Heroin(e)” was born out of a moment where I was tired of being blamed—for pain I didn’t cause, choices I didn’t make, and damage I didn’t do alone. It’s written from the perspective of something (or someone) we often demonize—like a drug, a vice, a habit—but it’s really about projection, self-destruction, and denial.

I wanted to explore what it would feel like to be the thing people turn to and then curse when it hurts. The song isn’t about glorifying the high or the darkness—it’s about accountability, and the brutal honesty of looking in the mirror and asking: what part did I play? 

This one’s for anyone who’s ever been misunderstood. For anyone who’s been scapegoated. For the things we blame when we’re not ready to face ourselves.
