"A Star Is Shining" my new single, a liquid drum and bass track... giving you all those relaxing vibe sounds with some punchy and powerful drum sets to keep you moving!

A Star Is Shining (Liquid DNB)

This track is inspired by a gift from our friend @virtualan (Thanks Alan)

The gift in question is a MIDI Randomiser - That is to say that it throws notation and control information to a synthesiser - or in this case a computer with a software synth called Alchemy that were rather fond of.

Initial experimentation led us accidentally to find that when we turned the unit off, the notes on the synth it was plugged into continued indefinitely 😲.

Having discovered this we recorded this unexpected event and found ourselves adding to the recording as featured in this video.

Jim features playing guitar with the ebow for long sustained notes and the recently acquired Virtual Jeff Pro by fomofx for amazing pitch shifting.

We wont go into FX chains - too many to list 😉.

Woody added Drums, some sampled percussion and Bass on the Seaboard Rise by ROLI .
Lastly during production arpeggiated sequences were added on the Seaboard through the brilliant Roli Studio Player.
