Telling stories only oceans know.

Papua rain on rusted tin,
Honduran nights with mandolin.
Currents pulled her far from land,
But now she held a paper cup in hand.

Green eyes like sea glass, ancient and tender.
A world in her words, then silence took over,
She faded in fog, like dreams we hang over.

Two hours of warmth, gone with the weather.
She left through the mist, back into the blur,
Now the coffee’s gone cold, and I just miss her.

Indian Ocean, storms and stars,
Sailed past reefs and memory scars.
Flipped burgers down in Alice Springs,
Said even that place had its wings.
She laughed at sharks, she cried in Chile,
Danced through Manila, loved someone briefly.
But time is cruel, and stories end,
And all that’s left is how they bend.

Eyes that mapped the world unseen,

I wanted to express the moment when a man finally admits what he feels. When he realizes that her silence affects him more than he expected. That her laugh stays in his head. That her presence calms him. That a single “hey” from her can change everything inside him.
