Nesta quarta-feira, 12 de abril, a educadora e filha da escritora Carolina Maria de Jesus, Vera Eunice de Jesus, participou do programa Universo Literário. Ela trouxe seu relato afetivo sobre a mãe e a dedicação da escritora ao fazer literário, mesmo nas condições mais adversas. 

“Teria que ser mesmo Carolina Maria de Jesus para estar à frente desse concurso porque ela atinge todo tipo de pessoa. Carolina Maria de Jesus não é minha mãe mais, ela é do mundo. Carolina Maria de Jesus atinge a mulher, o indígena, a criança, o branco, o negro. Então, Carolina teria que ser mesmo o nome nesse concurso que nos honrou muito”, orgulha-se Vera Eunice.

O Prêmio Carolina Maria de Jesus de Literatura Produzida por Mulheres 2023 tem inscrições abertas até 10 de junho e vai selecionar 40 autoras, recompensando-as com 50 mil reais cada.  São aceitos textos nos gêneros conto, crônica, poesia, quadrinhos, romance e roteiro de teatro, redigidos em português do Brasil e inéditos. Das obras selecionadas, ao menos 20% serão de mulheres negras, 10% de indígenas, 10% de mulheres com deficiência, 5% de ciganas e 5% de quilombolas. A comissão julgadora também será totalmente feminina.

Nesta sexta-feira, 29 de setembro, foi  lançado o Programa Nacional dos Comitês de Cultura (PNCC), em Belo Horizonte. A iniciativa do governo federal foi anunciada durante cerimônia no Teatro Francisco Nunes. A repórter Bella Corrêa acompanhou o evento que contou com a presença de diversas autoridades, com destaque para a Ministra da Cultura, Margareth Menezes, que deu detalhes sobre a importância do programa. A UFMG trabalha em parceria com a pasta para a implantação do comitê na capital mineira.
