I recently finished this in time for Sonic's 31st Anniversary, this time I went for a New Jack Swing aproach with this. Very glad with the final result.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Hydrocity Zone Act 1 (New Jack Swing Styled)

Hey all! Here's a synthy remix I've done a while back but never released it, till now.

This music piece comes from a tv show that I remember watching back in the late 2000s via YouTube called Mio Mao. And recently I decided to watch the show again, and remembered loving the cheerful sounding theme tune so much that I decided to have a go at it. 

Super happy with how it all came out and everything.

I`m burning-out (Radio edit)

Funk tune featuring, Slap Bass,Fender Stratocaster Guitar, Rhodes Electric Piano, Mini Moog Synthesizer & a full Brass Section . Starts with a drum machine, but quickly morphs into a heavy driving real drum beat. Melodies come from all of the different instruments, so lot's of listening variety in this one. Always love to hear your comments on how the tune affects you. Enjoy!

The Journey

Weather Report were a band that blended so many styles, but mainly fused funk, jazz, rock & African rhythms to bring a new pulsating sound to the 1970's. Jo Zawinul used synthesizers & created a vast palette of colours to their tunes. This piece is a homage to the group, written after I saw the "Zawinul Legacy Band" live a few weeks ago. I played all the instruments & had an absolute ball doing it. I hope you enjoy it as well.

I started off learning piano at around 6 years old, but only realised my ear for music when I could pick out melodies I heard on the radio & from then on I started writing my own music & playing long into the night, to the point where my parents told me to stop so they could go to sleep!
In my teenage years I joined bands & learnt basically on the fly how to work as a group. Once I realised that keyboards were not as portable & able to be played on beaches / around campfires, I taught myself guitar. By adding drums, harmonica & bass to my arsenal, the stage was set for a fully working band to record in my garage. Since setting up my home studio, I love recording a tune each week & especially love collaborating with all the extremely talented musicians on soundcloud. I'm a full time musician, with many different hats in the music community. Including songwriter, composer, live musician & blog writer.

Silicone Kids was a band I played guitar in, in the early 90's.  The Silcone Kids profile holds a lot of old tracks and also some tracks that were recorded during a reunion rehearsal in 2021.

Maybe a musician, maybe an artist, maybe a bass player… or maybe just an asshole !
