Brute Force

Recorded on a Tascam DP24SD using the Novation Circuit and Arturia Minibrute 2, with the help of several modules (notably Dreadbox Nostalgia and Earthquaker Afterneath for the delay and reverb on the Minibrute 2, as well as the Starling SYNC3 for a bit of pseudo-arpeggiation on the top line).

Recorded on a Tascam DP24SD using an Elektron Digitakt and an Arturia Minibrute 2 with some additional modules. My first stab at recording something with the Digitakt in lieu of the Circuit used on my previous tracks.

Darkened Sepulchre

Improvised dungeon ambient recorded on a Minibrute 2 plus modules (Starling Via Sync3; Earthquaker Afterneath Eurorack; Intellijel Quad VCA; and Dreadbox Ataxia, Utopia, and Nostalgia).

Abyssal Shrine

A default Minibrute 2 sequence is played on both the Minibrute 2 and the Behringer 2600 over MIDI while I adjust the cutoff and envelope of each. One stereo channel of the 2600 is inverted for stereo width.

Really glad to have these beautiful machines on my desk. Wow.

Behringer 2600 & Minibrute 2 Parallel

Unedited duophonic jam on my modular setup. Some really bad bits where I was patching with one hand and playing with the other :D

Recorded left channel of 2600 with UMC404HD interface. Neutron only generates the brass pitch ADSR. Minibrute 2 oscillators are fed in at various points, and is tuned up an octave, as is VCO2 of the 2600 which is receiving the upper voice CV.

Filter inputs are maxed out through most of it, and with the Minibrute 2 too this is enough to get a bit of crunch - but it can sound really clean too with lower levels.

Picture is the final state of the system :D

2021-02-12 Raw Modular Synth Jam (Behringer 2600, Behringer Neutron, Arturia Minibrute 2)

Messing around playing Minibrute 2 on bass with my left hand while playing LinnStrument with my right. I'm not used to this! Some interesting sounds occasionally anyway. 2600 patch is same as the last recording but with the three default oscillator sliders maxed out and different envelope/filter settings.

While not being interested in listening to music all that much during his childhood, Mark van Rijswijk found passion in the creation of it during his teenage years. Born in The Netherlands, there were many successful artists to look up to e.g. Armin van Buuren, DJ Tiësto and Ferry Corsten. The latter in particular has given Mark quite the support during his musical career. Other famous names have played his music on their radio shows. Paul van Dyk, Orjan Nilsen, Markus Schulz and Cosmic Gate are just a few household names that have played his tracks. The core of Mark's music is to be original by trying to blend different styles together. This is what keeps it interesting, both from the creator's side, as well as the listener's side.
