The EP contains four titles written, recorded and produced in autumn 2021 in a pretty straightforward fashion using a small setup of four synthesizers, a drum computer and voices.

"The texts on the EP depict a past state of intimate chaos, crisis, loss of control and upheavals... It is not always clear whether it's everyday life or more cinematic scenes that are described here, or if these things happened on a molecular level."

OPERON, was released on the Belgian label Antibody.
Brussels based Antibody is a label specializing in de(con)structed forms of Techno, New Wave, EBM, Industrial, Dark Ambient, Sound Art, Metal and Noise.

Hypnotic Propulsion

Leere Städte's music is characterised by an intuitive fusion of genres reminiscent of electro, wave and new beat. A keen sense of harmony and analogue electronic instruments shape the sound.

Recording and performing electronic music as a part of cult EBM project Die Selektion for over a decade, Berlin-based musician Leere Städte has also been recording as a solo project for a while now.

The debut EP, OPERON, was released on the Belgian label Antibody.

The following single, Leerraum, was released by the label Miseria, which focuses on compilations and encompasses genres such as Nu Goth, Synth Punk, CyberPunk, Wave, EBM, Techno, Industrial, New Beat and Noise.

In addition to releases on compilations, another release will appear sooner or later to continue the story of the OPERON EP.
