To be sovereign is to be the ruler of one's own fate,
To hold the reins of power and shape one's own state,
To have the freedom to choose, to act, and to create,
To chart one's own path and determine one's own fate.

But what does it mean to be truly sovereign,
When the world is filled with systems that constrain,
When power is concentrated in the hands of the few,
And the many are left with little they can do?

Is sovereignty an illusion, a mirage in the sand,
Or is it something we can grasp, with our own two hands,
Is it a state of mind, a way of being in the world,
Or is it something that must be fought for and unfurled?

These are questions that we must grapple with,
As we navigate a world that can often seem adrift,
But if we stay true to our own sense of self,
Perhaps we can find a way to be truly sovereign, and in that find wealth.
