January Day 20 Prompt: Use delay in your jam in a creative way – set different times for left and right, combine multiple delays, make it percussive.

Key: Bb major

My last couple of jams were a bit moody, so I wanted to get upbeat for this one. The main stabby synth riff is a Dreadbox Typhon and it’s ping-ponging (the dry signal is on the left to the wet “response” on the right). The hi-hat sound is a DFAM that is going through a slap-back delay. The rest are a Minitaur, Digitone II, Digitakt II, and my Syntakt for the drums.

Stuck in my head today so this was fitting. Dreadbox Typhon for the echoey bass, Digitone II for the pad, arp, & keys, Minitaur for the pumping bass, & Digitakt II for the kick & high hat.

I had a guitar thing in mind for this. Used the Digitone II for most of it outside of the sampled guitar riff that I looped forwards & reversed throughout. Drums are from Superior Drummer & of course my beloved Moog Minitaur makes an appearance.

Jamuary Day 31 Prompt: Write the music that only you can write!

I’ve been working on this on and off all day during breaks from work. I knew I wanted guitar & I also got a steal on a Pocket Piano which arrived this morning that I had to make a part for. Other than that, it’s the Moog Minitaur on bass, the Digitone II on piano, and the drums were a mix of the Digitakt II and Superior Drummer. 

Validation

This track was started in 2018. It took a bit of time to get back to it and write to the end. This one was really nice to work on. I remember that every time I started a session I had a really great mood. I hope that it will do the same for you.
