This took a long time to finally manifest. I did some edits, wrote the additional synth, percussion and lyrics around 3 years ago..

I was blacked out and unknowingly had recorded the demo vocals also at this stage. My life took a very different turn for the next 3 years and I gave up on creating things(and things in general) for a while. I accepted being a disappointment to KP like I always do & retreated inside and poisoned myself as much as I could for the next 1009 days The lyrics paint a clear picture that I was on some kind edge and at a point of utter dissolution

I kept promising KP I would finally finish off that track, not knowing I had already done it.

I somehow found my way back to this track a few weeks ago, it was far more complete than I ever remember it being..
I re-recorded the vocals, remixed it and mastered it best I could and here we are in 2025.

So here's a fragment of that journey crystalized now to be exposed to the air and sunlight to sting the wound again.

Music is my hobby. I started playing the piano in June 2025 after too many years away. 

I took courses in electronic music and analog/digital recording at Southwestern College in the late 1990s (not on LinkedIn because I’m not old) and started four years of piano lessons at what was once McLean Conservatory at the age of 9.

My DAW circa 2010 was Logic Pro, and I’d use Reason and Goliath too. I never developed production skills for reasons, but once helped my sis Ann audition for The Voice in 2012. 

These days, it’s a Keystation 49 and GarageBand, which is why some notes are missing on my live classical performances.

It’s not what you have. It’s what you do with it.

These days, I’ll put my favorites list (2,831 songs from various genres, locations, and centuries) on shuffle, and play or sing along with the songs for hours at a time. 

So there’s a new love for piano at 52 (autocorrect is a Sith Lord and I’m only 18).

The Hoffman Academy lessons are worth more than gold, and I am working through Unit 4 in August 2025.

It’s never too late while you can move.
