5ZYL Bio

Zygimantas Dzikevicius aka 5ZYL hails from the vibrant urban district of Pasilaiciai in Vilnius, Lithuania. Since embarking on his musical journey in 2007, Zygimantas has been deeply influenced by the raw energy of old-school rave, breakbeat, and techno. His early work focused on crafting dubstep and jungle tracks, earning him spots as a dj at various underground parties and open-air events, including the renowned broken rhythm sound festival, Satta. In late 2019, he adopted the alias 5ZYL, a name that quickly garnered attention from influential figures such as Jensen Interceptor and local talent scouts from PPP and PZ Records, leading to a series of acclaimed EP releases.

About a long side: a queer double portrait

Inspired by queer visual artists like Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Claude Cahun, and Mickalene Thomas, a long side: a queer double portrait plays with the radical contours of portraiture. With live and filmed dance, and more props than they originally anticipated, dance artists Rae Luebbert and Emily Ames embrace “queer” as a verb, alongside original, live music by Amelia Diehl. Layers of projection—and shared tea—create an immersive world that embraces the expansiveness of time, performance, and queerness.

Music composed and produced by IRMINSUL for Canadian modern dancer Dorothy Saykaly's piece "PAINTED". A traditional orchestral approach underscoring the otherworldly movements and dynamic body themes of PAINTED. The arcane meets the industrial, meets the timeless.

Rhythmic Study from TERRA. A rhythmic study composed during the creation of the sound score for TERRA: Bodies and Territories, an upcoming site-specific dance piece choreographed by Silvana Cardell at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education.

This etude is built entirely from field recordings captured on-site at the Schuylkill Center in Philadelphia—sticks, branches, leaves, rocks, and weathered iron transmission lines transformed into percussive elements. The organic textures of the forest become the foundation for rhythm and timbral evolution. 

Composed using Ableton Live and Max for Live. Microphones include the Zoom H3-VR and Metal Marshmallow Contact Mic.

I am a classically trained percussionist, self-taught guitarist, and digital explorer.  I compose and play music for dance daily and have many other projects radiating from there. I’m always ready to rock and see inventions everywhere.

Othello, written for Charlotte Ballet premiered to stellar reviews. And Dirty Wire, Imprint Maya, and Chronicle all premiered at The Joyce Theater in New York. Dispute In Conclusion Unplugged was commissioned by Seattle Symphony for its Chamber Series. Bachtrack wrote, "Of the 21st-century composers, David Rozenblatt stole the show and left the audience breathless before they shouted a collective 'Wow!". Flux, for Baltic Sea Philharmonic, was premiered entirely by
memory at Abu Dhabi's Emirates Palace and The Dubai Opera House. 

Born in Ukraine, Rozenblatt moved to the United States at the age of four. He received his Master's degree from The Juilliard School and devotes most of his artistic life to composing, recording and performing to sold out stadiums, arenas, concert halls, and clubs all over the globe.

Scandinavian singer-songwriter with acoustic and electronic production, composer, songwriter and music lover. Alice is  Danish, based in Berlin. She plays viola, autoharp, drum machines and looper and she loves to sing!
