Born from a voice note recorded years ago (with a sentiment that transcends time), ISFTBS is a song about trying to understand what brings people to lie and withhold truth in love, both from others and themselves - and the emotional fatigue that accompanies those lies/withholding. At best, they are half truths meant to placate others/oneself, at worst, they are something else entirely. And when I recorded the title line and later wrote the song, frankly I was tired of best and worst! 

This song is a dive into a side of me I rarely show others - the side that is pressed and wants people to know as much. I gave my full expression to this song, unfiltered, because when you are truly fed up with the bs, there is honestly no other way to say it but plainly.
