Starfield

A recording of autumn rain underpins this track, made with my Zoom H4n, occasionally you can hear rain hitting the microphones directly. The bowed string sounds were made using my modular synthesiser, no string samples were used !

AUTUMN

Summer starts with the sound of Honeybees in a Echyum flower recorded in my garden and captured with my Zoom H4n, a recording of grasshoppers is also mixed in later in the piece. The resulting recording is fed through Ableton Live's resonators and other elements are added with my modular synthesiser.

SUMMER

This track was composed over a field recording of a dawn chorus recorded on my Zoom H4n and using my modular synthesiser for the main musical elements.

SPRING

Based on field recordings of the wind resonating a power line and a bonfire captured with my Zoom H4n and a binaural recording of myself walking through snow made with the Sennheiser AMBIO smart headset. Musical elements were pulled together from live improvisations on my Modular Synthesiser.

A collection of kicks, snares, hi-hats, toms and more generated by analogue synthesis - 72 samples in total. This demo employs a selection of the samples completely untreated apart from level setting and panning.

Rumblin Cynth Rampo is based on the South Glamorgan coast she describes herself as cacophonist. Working in the genres of ambient, industrial ambient and noise she explores the worlds of science, space, heavy industry and the deep dark places of earth (or any things that she fancies).

Her tracks are created using modular and hardware synths, soft synths, diy electronic noise boxes, bread-boarded temporary sound generators and effect as well as field recordings. 

Inspiration comes from the natural world, science and space.  Influences include Bach, Beethoven, Mahler, Pierre Schaeffer, Daphne Orme, Delia Derbyshire, Louis and Bebe Barron, Can, Cluster, Tangerine Dream, Hawkwind, Throbbing Gristle, to name but a few.
