The 2nd of 5 of my Melodic Techno quintology I created. Northern Squalls is a dark melodic techno track with punchy drums, deep sub bass, smooth Rhodes leads, and dense atmospheric pads. Northern Squalls is intense, moody, and purely instrumental at 123 BPM.

I created a hypnotic and groovy set for bedcrumbsshow radio on 08Mar2026. This set focused on darker hypnotic elements layered on groovier basslines and percussion. I wanted the sound to grow and be driving leading into some more emotionally charged melodies towards the middle and end of the set, something you could really lose yourself into. Bez daha is a minimal techno track at 134 BPM, cold yet alive.

A deep 909 kick moves through sparse metallic percussion, analog haze and glitch echoes that fade into empty space.

The rhythm carries a Croatian soul: tamburica-like harmonics turned into sharp synth plucks, lijerica drones resonating like wind on Adriatic cliffs, and distant sea ambience woven into low bass textures.

A husky female Croatian voice moves through the track in whispers and breaths — half-sung, half-exhaled, soaked in echo, tension and desire.

Bez daha feels human yet distant, fragile yet magnetic.

Frozen desire.

Subconscious Motion 004.

This one came together naturally. I spent some time digging for tracks that felt right together, and somewhere in the middle I realized one of my own unreleased tracks blended perfectly with "Intonation" by Altinbas. That moment ended up shaping the direction of the whole mix.

The result is another journey through deep, hypnotic, and atmospheric techno. Patient grooves, evolving textures, and subtle tension without forcing anything. Just music that keeps moving and leaves space to breathe.

As always, this mix is built around artists whose work continues to inspire me. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

For this one I wanted to blend records I've been coming back to for years with newer discoveries that have been living in my playlists lately. Different periods, same feeling.

The mix begins at a slower pace, giving each track room to breathe before gradually building momentum. Without forcing the energy, the BPM rises naturally as the journey unfolds, moving from deep, introspective moments into a more driving hypnotic flow.

I always enjoy putting old and new music into the same conversation. Sometimes tracks released years apart feel like they were made for each other.

painzain is a Berlin based artist creating deep and hypnotic techno shaped by emotion, tension, and movement. The sound lives in the spaces between rhythms, slow burning grooves, hypnotic textures, and long evolving moments made for dark rooms, late nights, and closed eyes.

The project grew out of personal struggle and the need to turn heavy emotions into something physical. Every track is part reflection, part escape. Less about chasing trends, more about creating a feeling that stays with you long after the music ends.

Pain Recordings was born naturally from that same mindset. More than a label, it is a home for artists and listeners drawn to depth, atmosphere, and honest expression. LIBERTYJACK hails from Swansea, Wales in the UK.
He  is an electronic music producer with a passion for transforming emotion into immersive sonic landscapes. Rooted in the worlds of Deep House Melodic House and Progressive House as well as Pop/Indie Neo Soul type music, his sounds blends deep rhythmic warmth with cinematic melodies, atmospheric textures, and an unmistakable sense of journey.
He enjoys writing  'Sloppy' love songs too😁. LIBERTYJACK crafts music that feels both intimate and expansive — the kind of sound that belongs equally on late-night drives, sun-drenched festivals, and quiet moments of reflection. His production style favors layered harmonies, evolving chord progressions, and emotive synth work, creating tracks that are as expressive as they are danceable.
