I wanted to tell the story of these two rap moguls from the past. Both were allegedly involved in each others' murders, and both coincidentally rapped about California shortly before they died. An East Coast versus West Coast feud erupted after these events. This track was made to honor both of these geniuses.

I fused together Notorious BIG - Goin' Back to Cali with 2Pac - California Love (and used some elements of some other Biggie tracks to get him to say/spell different things), along with my own music to tie it all together. Hope you dig it!!

So stoked to finally share my set from Motion Notion 2015 with you all! This was a pretty special set for me as it was my first time playing in Canada, and I had an absolutely wicked time.

This mix is probably my best to date and features over 20 of my own tracks and a tonne of exclusives that I've been playing out all summer long. If you caught me at a festival this summer it probably sounded a little bit like this. Big loves everyone, thanks for your support and don't forget to share!

During the alcohol prohibition that was in effect from 1919 until 1933, Donald Bump and The Syrup Smugglers used to store bootleg liquor as it made its way to the United States from stills in such Kanadian locals as Bump Town of rogues, but during the Depression years, many a costal family supplemented its income by supplying a thirsty nation with the maple syrup and illegal beverages it craved.

Syrup Smuggling is one of Donald's favourite pass times but he will always save time for his other Passion 4X4 Klub Beats, Breaks and Lazer Bass.

Although this may be the first time you have heard of Donald Bump his other alias has been work hard in the club scene since 2002, playing over 150 different clubs and special events. Donald's knowledge and passion for music alongside many hours creating his sound has NOT been unnoticed, getting international support from top Djs and Producers like Deekline, Tradelove, The Freestylers, Marten Horger and The Plump Djs . Not a new comer and more of a Kanadian club originator, he has recently been billed along side the likes of DJ Nu-Mark, Serial Killaz, Funkanomics, Wood-n-Soo, Nick Thayer, Mafia Kiss, SkiiTour, NAPT, Slynk, CMC & Silenta, Bobby C Sound TV, Longwalkshortdock, JFB, DJ Icey , Peo De Pitte , Atomic Hooligan, Justin Martin, Lady Waks, Barry Ashworth of the Dub Pistols, Basement Freaks, REL 1, JPOD, Stanton Warriors and Many More.

Multi-disciplinary artist Doprah Spinfree has showcased his creative work everywhere from record sleeve designs to dancefloors in Vancouver, New York, Philadelphia, Australia and Seattle right through to large-scale art installations. On the decks, Doprah's gritty curation melds the sleek lines of funk and disco with the pure filth of midtempo bass and disco house, then throws down some wonky basslines at all the right moments, for good measure. A Vancouver local, Doprah Spinfree’s 10 year career has seen him play nightclubs and festivals across the world, including Rifflandia, Electric Love, Motion Notion and Tall Tree; but summer 2023 will see him finally cross Shambhala’s Fractal Forest off the bucket list.
