A spookier track to try and emphasise the mysteriousness of the empty city that the main cast finds themselves trapped on. The chapter does eventually go off the rails but I felt like I captured the empty and mysterious vibes well.

The theme for Creatch Prime, the seeming progenitor of all creatures (or at least a powerful psychic being of some kind). Another interesting piece, from when I was just starting to get the hang of using the orchestral elements. Got some whale noises to represent the crazy large "creature", and in general wanted create this sense of a larger than life scale in what was up until this point an incredibly silly comic (it still is silly, just with higher stakes).

Song I made based on a friend's MSPFA!! Was a very good read and honestly it's just really good vibes in general. This was a fun short piece I made just trying to capture the atmosphere mostly, and it was quite fun to make imo, even if fairly simple.

-Commentary-
This is my first piece back after getting medicated and getting back on my feet from a bad depressive episode. There's a few firsts in here for me and I'm really proud of how it turned out. The piece prominently features the harpsichord until its overtaken by the guitar as the piece progresses. This represents the slow take over of Turrin themself, as they give into the influence of Entropy, A major player in Shitshow. The fade out also plays into this as it leave the story unfinished, ending with a meandering guitar solo. The metric modulations in the transitions of this piece felt like they threw me a curve ball in the composition process. With the first one i was truly "just feeling it bro" and have to figure out how to contextualize it in the proceeding section. The second transition to the coda was a lot more deliberate, intending to slowly guide your mind out of the 6/16 and back into 4 with various rhythmic claves.

-Commentary-
As soon as I was given the reference tracks for this, I knew exactly which direction I needed to go in: Reminiscent of 80's 90's hip-hop, heavy as fuck drums, and aesthetic compression and glitching. This is my first go at making a piece with flipped samples and I think they both came out very interesting. The microrhythms in the first first main sample initially made me frustrated until I paired it with the drums. They way it interlocked brought an entire new feeling and made me "see the light" per se on sampling. As the title may imply, Desila has borderline personality disorder. She gets hurt by many people she loves, taken advantage of by both a partner and a God. Said god, named Themis, gave her a furturesight power, which showed her all the possible ways her friends could abandon her. Knowing this, the B section of this piece represents the ferocity and chaotic feeling of a split. The trumpet takes over the guitar as Desila loses control of herself and lets her emotions loose

Hey y'all, i am doing stuff for a new mspfa! Check it out!

Null & Void is based on the first proper fight in the comic. It happens in a diner, and, as such, my "beta" track name for this was "Diner Demolition". However, after ruminating and talk about it, i settled on the current name, as it can be reused for other situations in the comic (since the comic actually plays music as you read it!! Wow!!), and plus it simply sounds "neater". Also, has that "Live & Learn" thing going on.

I was asked to make the track very Jet Set Radio, which is good considering that's what my idea was in the first place! Well, that combined with some jazzy hard rock, all to make a jojo-ish vibe. I decided to use some very staccato (is that how you use that term..?) guitars, and to overall make the track feel as punchy as possible. I was considering on using Orange Disc (by JeeflyMania )'s melody as the main melody of this track, however i decided against it, since the music and melodies of the comic are still developing, and at an early stage it's good to have many to pick from. Who knows, maybe i'll make an extended version of this track with that melody in it, eventually....? Not promising anything though, hoohoo.

Also - i made sure that this track would be timed perfectly to each of the moments of the fight. I can happily say that i succeeded, but do feel free to check out to comic to see if i am right.
