Multnomah was a band of Chinook Native American living on the Columbia River. The name is now used for a water fall and a county outside of Portland, OR. Multnomah county rests on traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, bands of Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla and many other Tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River.
