Drifting Petals is a 68 BPM Asian lofi hip hop track featuring electric piano chords, guitar, and a slightly muted beat. The lead melody instrument is a dizi flute supported by occasional guzheng ornaments, blending traditional Chinese sounds with modern production. 

Vinyl textures, slight detune and other vinyl effects give the song a hint of aged, analog feel. Background elements include nature sounds like flowing water and birds singing.

The arrangement focuses on minimalism, with layered instruments that leave space for the melody to breathe. This release builds on my exploration of blending nature, modern production and traditional elements in lofi music.

Tiemdi, de son vrai nom Michel Gaëtan Dulyx, est un artiste haitiano-canadien qui est né à Montréal à la fin des années 80. Il a néanmoins passé la majeure partie de son enfance à Port-au-Prince, ville natale de ses parents Frantz Dulyx et Djina V. Hall.

Très jeune, ses parents l'inscrivent au primaire chez les Frères de l'Instruction Chrétienne (F.I.C) pour qu'il apprenne les bienfaits et les méthodes de l'enseignement religieux. Il continue par la suite cet apprentissage è l'Institution Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague.
Au début des années 2000, le pays connaît, une fois de plus, une phase d'instabilité politique, sociale et économique qui empêche le bon déroulement des activités quotidiennes. C'est pour cette raison qu'en 2005 il quitte ce pays qu'il affectionne tant, et s'envole vers le Québec.

Le petit-fils du trompettiste de renom, Kesnel Hall, dit avoir découvert sa passion dès son plus jeune âge et à toujours su qu'il travaillerait dans le domaine du son. Dans ce même ordre d'idée, en 2007, il décide de développer de nouvelles compétences et s'inscrit, en technique de son, à l'Institut Trébas au centre-ville de Montréal. À cette même époque, il travaille parallèlement comme arrangeur, auteur et compositeur, sur plusieurs projets. En 2011, il intègre la formation musicale ENPOSIB et co-produit le morceau qui allait faire découvrir le groupe: Bom Sou 2 Bò.

Sa carrière est lancée et il multiplie les productions. Le jeune beatmaker travaille sur plusieurs projets qui vont tous connaître un succès et le faire connaître de ses pairs. Tout ce qu'il touche se transforme en hit. Durant cette période, il collabore avec plusieurs artistes et formations musicales tels que :  Enposib, Regimuzik, J-Ron, DJ Platinum D, Pascal Laraque, DJ Excel, Power Surge, Roody, Jude & Carlitow, Brigandie etc.

En 2012, ce musicien polyvalent, commence à se trouver et sort finalement son tout premier single intitulé "Se Tande m Tande". Cette chanson originale tourne dans tous les clubs et le propulse au rang des grands de l'industrie musicale. En 2014, il collabore, avec le protégé de l'époque de DJ Khaled, Power Surge (Power Surge Music Group), sur le projet prometteur de Frap La en lançant le titre qui allait faire vibrer toutes les enceintes: "Kite m' Ba Ou Love". D'ailleurs, cette chanson a été consacrée meilleure musique et musique la plus jouée de l'année 2014.

Après plusieurs belles collaborations, il se donne encore de nouveaux défis et rejoint la formation Kreyòl La en mai 2015 aux côté de: "Stanley Hérissé, Joseph Zenny Jr (Ti Jo), Fabrice Fombrun, Fenelon Daddy (Bouzi), Antonio Guillaume (Ti Blan), Lhomann Jean (Loulou), Théophile Jadotte, Carl Radjiv Bricourt et Wilkenson Magloire (Joebatt)". Sur l'album Invictus, Tijo et Tiemdi joignent leurs forces et dévoilent "Turn Me On" au public, l'un des plus grands succès du groupe depuis leur début. Il faut aussi ajouter qu'entre les tournées locales et internationales, Tiemdi compose et produit le tube emblêmatiques de la musique haîtienne: "Kiyès Ou Ye", de J Perry.
De plus, avec Kreyol La, il interprète, compose et co-produit plusieurs morceaux, dont les 4 mérigues carnavalesques de 2016 à 2019. Le jeune chanteur apporte clairement un vent de fraîcheur au sein du groupe avec ses introductions originales. Il se fait remarqué et les jeunes l'adorent! En 2018, au Carnaval nationale des Cayes, ils remportent les titres: Méringue Carnavalesque de l'année et Meilleur performance. Il compose et interprète, cette fois-ci aux côtés de Tonymix et Ti Jo Zenny, la chanson Byen Pase qui prône de belles valeurs tel que la gratitude. 

Comme on le sait si bien, toute belle histoire a une fin! C'est donc en 2019 que se termine pour lui l'aventure Kreyol La, quatre ans après avoir intégré le groupe. Encore une fois, l'histoire semble se répéter et Tiemdi quitte Haïti et retourne habiter à Montréal. Il retourne en studio et lance son tout premier album, en août 2020, intitulé: "Tout Moun Dakò". 

En 2023, il lance officiellement son label de musique "Tiemdi Productions" qui a pour objectif de promouvoir la culture et de laisser un héritage musical riche pour les générations futures. 

Avec plusieurs millions de vues sur les plateformes de streaming, Tiemdi s'apprète à lancer, le 5 mai 2023, son tout nouveau single intitulé "Déjà Vü". Ce single sera succédé de son deuxième album qui parraîtra en été 2023.
