Played live on Sunday morning, July 6th, 2025 at the Asheville Movement Collective. This was my first Facilitation and live mix after having stepped away from AMC for almost two years. Leaving wasn't easy, and it really touched my heart to see familiar faces again in this beautiful dance container. 

I've grow in many ways as a person, and as a performing artist and deejay over the time away. This set represents my appreciation for the juxtapositions of simple elements in music to more complex, arranged in an undulating wave structure.

Welcome to "SunflowerDreams," a gentle musical journey inspired by the slowness of a hot summer day. Picture sunflowers swaying in the breeze under a vast sky. This track invites you to immerse yourself in your own experience, allowing the sounds to transport you to a serene, sunlit landscape.

As I continue to learn and grow in music production using Logic Pro, this song marks a couple of exciting firsts for me.  For the first time, I incorporated a subtle baseline, created by using a pedal to lower the bass string of my electric dulcimer an octave.  The result is a simple, slow, and meandering 2-minute piece that features a dreamy, atmospheric 4-chord loop (C, G, Am, and F) that evokes feelings of joy and tranquility.  Accompanying the chords is a track of the dulcimer slowly riffing along, adding depth and texture to the soundscape.  

I hope you enjoy this musical reflection and find your own meaning within it.
