This powerful, emotional piece was inspired by the landscape painting 'Winter Sea' painted between 1925 / 1937 by the landscape / surrealist artist Paul Nash, hanging today in York Art Gallery..

For me, this painting creates feelings of coldness, darkness, emptiness, distance, loneliness & somehow a feeling of loss..
