Clay the Cosmic Forge

A ritual song of sacrifice and revelation. "Nine Nights" retells the myth of Odin hanging from the World Tree to gain the runes — a solitary trial of pain, silence, and vision.
Sung in Old Norse cadence, this chant echoes the voice of the god himself as he walks the shadowed path through death and knowledge.

Each verse is a step deeper into the mythic dream: no food, no drink, pierced by a spear, staring into the abyss — until the runes reveal themselves.

There’s a rhythm beneath the surface, ancient and unrelenting—a heartbeat lost to time, still echoing through roots and soil. “Pulse of the Forgotten Wood” is a dark, driving instrumental that taps into that buried current: fast-paced, hypnotic, and raw, but without the screaming this time.

The track blends fast EDM percussion with gritty guitar layers and deep, atmospheric textures. It feels like running through an overgrown forest under a moonless sky—disoriented, breathless, but guided by something older and deeper than thought. The energy never lets up, but it doesn't explode; it churns, it builds, it pulses.

Dance of the Dryads is a sun-dappled jam that sways and spins with woodland energy. Built around a catchy, looping saxophone hook, the track finds its rhythm in playful bass runs and tight, understated grooves. Serene Despair, the unique concept EP driven my by life-long interest in mythology, especially the dark female entities. Staying true to the lore but told through a different lens, one that is a sonic soundscape and narrative through first and third person lenses. Today mythological entities such as the Gorgon (most famously Medusa) are diluted and misunderstood and represented in modern culture. 

Either the utilisation of their names directly as an adjective in passing, the dilution of such rich and full mythological narratives is a tragedy in my eyes because their historical meaning, narratives and symbolism was deeply embedded and had large impacts in times past that has become lost and not truly represented. This track of Serene Despair, never directly mentions the Gorgon by name. Instead, I have reclaimed and told the narratives being respectful to the lore and modernising it with some of my own unique additions to make it both enjoyable and accessible to casual listeners and further rewarding to those who appreciate mythological lore.
