Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas est un artiste visuel de la Nation Haïda, auteur et « mischief-maker » (fauteur de troubles). Son art est exposé dans des espaces publics et des collections privées du monde entier, notamment au British Museum, au Metropolitan Museum of Art, au Humboldt Forum de Berlin, au Seattle Art Museum, et au National Museum of the American Indian de Washington.
Le musée a récemment acquis une suite de 9 œuvres de la série « Les Carnets de Daalkaatlii ». Ce groupe de 26 peintures sur acrylique relate – dans une perspective à la fois mythologique et historique – le récit d’une inondation dévastatrice qui s’est produite sur une plaine herbacée (Daalkaatlii) de la grande île d’Haida Gwaii. C’est à cet endroit que s’était établit le peuple Auu Gitans, lignée des grands-pères de Michael Yahgulanaas. En plus de puiser dans la tradition orale de son clan, cette œuvre qui raconte la survie et la résilience d’un peuple constitue également un exercice de mémoire pour le mischief-maker.

As Americans prepare to celebrate the 249th birthday of their nation, Jesus’ words in Luke 9 challenge us to consider a deeper allegiance: what does it mean to follow Jesus within the context of this nation?

Jesus set His face toward Jerusalem, choosing the path of rejection, suffering, and ultimate sacrifice. In doing so, He established a kingdom not of this world—a kingdom of righteousness and peace that transcends every earthly nation, including the United States. Following Him today still means being misunderstood, marginalized, or even rejected. It means holding fast to God's Word in a culture that often resists truth. It means letting go of earthly comforts, reordering priorities, and sometimes even distancing from familial expectations for the sake of Christ and His kingdom.

In this sermon, we reflect on what true discipleship looks like in America today: a life of gospel proclamation, faithful witness, and heavenly citizenship—all rooted in the cross and resurrection of our Savior. As citizens of God’s eternal kingdom who temporarily reside in this earthly one, we join our voices in prayer: “God bless America… Stand beside her and guide her through the night with the light from above.”

The church of Christ at Fairview Park is a group of Christians committed to following just the Bible in all that we say and do. Our goal is to be a local church like those found in the pages of the New Testament. Our collective worship and work reflect this focus.  

Our weekly uploads are Bible lessons presented by Fairview Evangelists.  We invite you to study the Bible with us.

Like those found in the pages of the New Testament, the Fairview Park church is completely independent of all other churches. The elders have authority over this congregation (Heb 13:7, 17; 1 Pet 5:1-4) and they answer only to Jesus – not any other church or body.

In the heart of Paris's museum land, neighbouring the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay, a few minutes from the Grand and Petit Palais, the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée d’art moderne de la Ville de Paris, the Musée du quai Branly has an exceptional location on the banks of the River Seine, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. The arts of Africa, Oceania, Asia, and the Americas now form part of the historical and artistic grand tour of the capital. The Musée du quai Branly is an innovative cultural institution - museum, educational and research centre, and public living space all in one. Built on one of the last available sites in the heart of Paris, the architectural design of this original project is the work of Jean Nouvel.

I have been in the House Music scene for nearly six decades. My journey spans from dancer to blogger and currently DJ. I run a German-based radio show called Sounds from the Chi. I have a monthly show called Calling on House Heads on my Twitch channel.  I’ve been featured on various radio shows such as Our House Is Disco on 54House.fm in Germany; UICRadio.org in Chicago; HousWerk Mixshow KAOS Radio in Austin, TX; Groove Station on Housemusicradio.ca hosted by Jackman Jones in Toronto, Canada; and QSC Radio Show at WNUR 89.3 in Chicago.  I am currently involved in various Twitch Raid Trains.

You have seen me play at gigs like House on Paseo festival in September 2018 and at the former Mid Nightclub in early January 2019. In March 2019 I opened for Sugar Shack Family Reunion at Barcelona Nightclub in Austin, TX during the South by Southwest Festival. In June 2019, October 2019, September 2021, September 2022 and, May 2023 I played at various gigs and online Radio in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In addition, I played in my city of Chicago on 2 occasions.  Chicago Meetup in Sept 2023 and recently at Replay in Lincoln Park on Feb 2024
