A while ago Ozora asked me to do a promo set that would anticipate my performance at the main stage for 2024 edition, my debut on one of the top dance floors around the world after a memorable experience in 2023 at the Pumpui stage. It's a concept mix to slowly introduce the audience to the morning vibes and the sound that i am preparing, building deeply and giving the listeners just a glimpse of the bigger picture, BPM range 137-142 🌱🌞

Latam - On the way to Ozora 2024 [137-142 BPM]

I’ve been thinking for a while to record a set where I would explore the more emotional side of psytrance and when Universal Tribe Records from Australia wrote me and asked if I would do a mix for their series it turned out to be the perfect opportunity. They gave me access to their entire catalogue, so after listening thoroughly to everything I spent 2 days on arranging the tracklist and how the musical story will unfold because I kept changing the songs and their order. This is the end result and I think it seriously evokes the full spectrum of human feelings. Some call this music zenonesque, others call it bushprog which is a smaller branch of this sub-genre made international by Zenon Records, it's a different kind of psytrance which blends with techno, progressive trance and minimal, in a deep but psychedelic way of course. Have your own experience of it ⛵🧭

Romanian psychedelic trance DJ Latam first played music at a party in 2004, under unexpected circumstances — simply going with the flow in a synchronistic moment. It was a Eureka experience that gave him a clearer sense of purpose and a new direction in life. Since then, he has performed around the world at major festivals including Ozora, Fusion, Exit, Hadra, Flow, Sziget, Untold, as well as countless underground gatherings, club parties and private events.

His style is groovy and hypnotic, with a versatile approach within the 130 to 150 BPM range that adapts to the environment, audience, venue, and hour. He also regularly plays chill-out and downtempo sets in an eclectic fashion on alternative stages. Additionally, he has an alter ego called Fractaliceanu for faster, darker psytrance, and another avatar, Melanj, with whom he ventures into deep techno territories.

Besides DJing, Latam has been involved in organizing and promoting events through the Thrancians project, Spacesheep group and Unda association, being co-founder of Waha Festival, member of Rebirth Festival and partner of Dakini Festival, which have featured legendary artists such as Juno Reactor, Astral Projection, Eat Static, Etnica & Pleiadians, Astrix, Sensient, Son Kite, X-Dream, Loud, Atmos, Psykovsky, Kindzadza, Cosmosis, and Dickster, among others.
