This project is a sonic atmosphere built on the foundation of deep-pocket reggae grooves and elevated by the richness of neo-soul harmony. Every track feels like a late-night session where the lights are low, the instruments are warm, and nothing is rushed. The drums speak with intention — a hard, crisp snare cutting through like truth — while the bass moves heavy and hypnotic, anchoring everything in a grounded, almost meditative pulse.

At the heart of the album is the electric piano — not just as an instrument, but as a voice. Those lush minor 13th voicings stretch across each record like slow-burning smoke, wrapping around the rhythm, softening the edges, and adding emotional depth without ever overwhelming the groove. It’s jazz-informed, soul-rooted, and instinctively human.

Vocally, the approach is intimate and restrained. Nothing is forced. Every breath, every ad-lib, every pause is intentional — giving the songs a sense of presence, like you’re in the room while they’re being created. The lyrics explore pressure, healing, movement, love, and quiet resilience, all carried by melodies that feel both effortless and deeply considered.

Carried by the contrast between spoken-word textures, soulful vocals and the signature guitar lines of Alain Roux, the track unfolds like a city awakening from within.

From intimate first notes to its full orchestral rise, the piece blends blues, soul, nu-jazz and urban storytelling into one long emotional ascent.
The powerful string arrangements performed by the Sigma Strings Quartet bring a dramatic, almost symphonic depth, elevating the track into a timeless urban suite.

One of the most ambitious works from Collective of Sound — organic, cinematic and deeply human.
A soundtrack for empty streets, burning horizons and those moments when everything inside you begins to move.
