It has been awhile since Interbay has let Blendersample mess with a track, and this is classic Blendersample--some rather old-school edits (some might say dodgy or even sloppy, but it's all in the pursuit of "even more fun."  

What we have here is a club house song with some thick, almost neuro, bass and saxophones slipping into some cheesy 70s disco pop samples (bonus Interbay points if you know where it's from without Googling!) and then there are stutters and needle drops, including some 80s house samples, and somehow it all ends with a hint of an absolutely classic early 90s new wave song?  

If you're not familiar with Interbay until this track (where have you been?  glad to have you on board, finally), you might be thinking "WTF?"--but this is, strangely, par for the course for Interbay...where every song can include anything and everything, including the kitchen sink.  

(Oh, previously undiagnosed adult ADHD is sometimes really fun!  But can also cause whiplash for people expecting their mutant pop dance music to more unidirectional--sorry, but not really sorry.)    

Giving this the Blendersample treatment really didn't change this track all that much, honestly...it was pretty all over the place even in its original form.  But, when you have to Nigel Tufnel yourself, it is nice to know that when Interbay is all the way up (all the way up) on ten, there's still that little bit more to push it over the top.  

As it is still windy (still dealing with the bomb cyclone) and gloomy here in Seattle, the home of Phantom Laboratories West and all things Interbay...I thought maybe something silly and fun could lift our spirits.  And what better to do that than a "Magic Nightlight"???  Hope you agree!
