Keep your eyes on me boy

this was the fourth track produced for this ep!

out of all the tracks, this one went through the most minor changes and tweaks, but for some reason, i just couldn’t nail down exactly what i wanted to do. it led to endless demos and second-guessing. the first three tracks came to me so easily, and i felt really confident about them, so i think that created this weird pressure to make something even better. i blame the creative fog on that lol.

"pins and needles" by nessa barrett was one of the songs i knew i wanted to feature from the very beginning. the lyrics are just beautiful, and i’m so glad i stuck to my gut on using these vocals, they add so much to the project.

this track features heavy riddim again, but i switched up the kick pattern from what i usually do to keep things fresh. i also took some inspiration from k-pop, especially with the melodic changes in sections like the second verse and final sequence.

even with all the constant tweaks, i’m really proud of how this one turned out, and i hope you guys enjoy it! love ya!
