Happy New Year to everyone!! And with the New Year comes the annual tradition… Best Friend Weekend Podcast presents the yearly tradition, our 8th installment of the Top Ten List! Rumble Williams got us started by discussing the NIL era and it’s ramifications (01:00) which prompted us to discuss how college football is now the Wild Wild West (02:00). Next, Aldo let us know what Burned His Boudin to start 2025 including California wild fires (04:00), Joy Taylor (07:00), and CFP seeding (14:00). After talking about what we missed over the last few weeks and our early favorites for 2025 (19:00), we got to it and gave our Top Ten lists for 2024 (20:00)… Enjoy!!

I've only written a handful of songs this year
They all sound the same and they suck
I cut the bad from my life, I've made some amends with mine
I still miss the bad times and strife

I'm aware it seems easy

And enough has been broken

So why do I feel it's my fault?
I hope next year is better for me

I know this stance I take seems a bit contentious
But I'm sick of the misery friends like you bring to me
Nights turn to silence and silence seems better than
Arguing night after night

You should know, as friends we're over
Try and find some joy this December
And bring in your faults to next year
Cuz I know you wont ever change

Try to find solace in the fact that it's over
No matter what's said to me, I can't do much worse
All the time that I've wasted with friends that I hate
I'll just focus on those that I don't
