One year ago I posted a poll on a Instagram story,  asking my followers to type in their favorite song that I could remix.

Soon after I got a reply, saying 

DO: KENDRICK LAMAR - MONA LISA.

I loved the idea, so I went to work, downloaded the accapella, opened fl studio, found the key and the tempo of the song and then, I FROZE. 

The song is so GOOD! IT'S A CLASSIC! JUST SPECIAL!

What could I do to make it better...

I did not know!

And so after working on it for a bit I closed the project but saved in on my hard drive and forgot about it.

Now a year later (September of last year to be exact), I heard Kendrick announcing that he would be playing at the SuperBowl's 59 half time show.

I knew the game would be taking place in NOLA, but I didn't know that Lil Wayne was from there, neither did I know that he had never played in a SuperBowl final.

This was the tipping point.

I went back to my remixes hard drive and pulled the folder up named: KL X LW - Mona Lisa (ARBER Remix) and I found on the folder this photo (the thumbnail) I had designed with Chat GPT of me with the back to the screen painting Mona Lisa, Kendrick to my left and Lil Wayne to the right in the studio.

And I thought...

I am not gonna remix the song, I'm gonna paint my own Mona Lisa.
