The ghosts of our trauma don’t mean to hurt us, 
but they feel our deepest pain.
They want to be witnessed, heard, embraced.
And when we do, they become grateful.
They give us our story back, 
and help us become more whole.

The result of childhood trauma is something haunting. But these ghosts cannot be banished, they have to be seen, heard, embraced, and in so doing we feel their gratitude and we become more whole.

Some fine tracks this week (as always!), and yeah, a bit of a coincidence that there's a track named Gratitude and one called The Ghost of You in this weeks collection, as it mirrors what I've been feeling as I struggled and won another big bout of healing. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did putting this set together and playing it live, as usual in my kitchen on Saturday night.
