This is a cover of ‘flowers of flesh and blood’, extracted from Nicole Dollanganger’s sophomore album of the same name. It takes inspiration after a Japanese gore/horror film that follows a random woman being kidnapped and dismembered piece by piece by her abductor. 
When the movie came out, many people reported it to the authorities believing the events portrayed in it were real, a real ‘snuff film’.

The original version of the song was released on this day twelve years ago.
