Producing and DJing primarily under the name M.I.K.E. Push, Belgian artist Mike Dierickx has released music under many, including Solar Factor, Plastic Boy, The Blackmaster, Return of the Native, and Push, with a sound rooted mainly in progressive trance. He began experimenting with samplers and keyboards at age 11 and released his first record, Vision Act, in 1992 after presenting a demo to Antwerp-based label USA Import. After several early releases, he joined Lightning Records (Bonzai) in 1996, leading to wider recognition. In 1998, his track Universal Nation became a defining record of the trance era, earning multiple dance awards and achieving platinum status for vinyl sales, while later releases such as Strange World and The Legacy achieved strong chart success across Europe and the UK. Over the course of his career, Mike has received numerous industry awards and multiple UK Top 40 entries, solidifying his long-standing influence on electronic dance music.
