The 8th installment of this series comes almost 6 months late, and I am happy to share that this massive delay was due to being a brand new father.

PHASE1 has been into all kinds of electronic music from an early age. Born in Denmark, he learned to mix at the age of 13, playing at the local youth club. He bought himself a pair of turntables and a mixer later on and continued to develop his skills, first on vinyl and later on CDJ´s. He discovered the psychedelic scene in 2005, and the music touched him like nothing else. Since then, his favorite style has been night psy and fullon. PHASE1 was signed at Patronus Records from 2020 to 2024 and, in that period, released four mind-blowing compilations.

Metasonic is the psychedelic DJ project of Sidney van Dyk. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa now living in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since first being exposed to psychedelic trance music and culture in 2009 he fell head over heals in love with both.

He believes that the psychedelic trance journey at it's roots is one of the most liberating and freeing experiences one can have. Be it progressive day-time to Full-on night time to Darkpsy etc, etc, etc and all the myriad of genres in between. The journey it takes you within your own consciousness and who you are after experiencing this journey of sound and self is what made him fall in love. 

Hence the name, Metasonic(meta - after / sonic - sound) is a tribute to that place in all of us that we reach after being taken on a psychedelic sound journey.

His vision for this project is to bring about journey sets to take the listener to that special place inside themselves.

0dB (zero db)

Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa and living on the Central Coast in Australia, 0dB is a DJ and producer signed to Furthur Progressions Records.

No stranger to the Psytrance scene, 0dB found his love for doofing in the bush in Cape Town and since then has gigged in his homeland South Africa, and across England, Wales, Portugal, Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand and Australia where he has managed to play on some of the most epic stages alongside many titans & legends of the Psytrance movement.

As a producer 0dB has managed a number of releases on Reversible Records, Furthur Progressions Records and Ovnimoon Records appearing alongside big names like Ninesense, Ghandhabba, Hydra-e, Braingineers, Radikal Moodz, Oxyflux, Shadow Shaman, Dribble, Unexpected, Ace Ventura, Antix, Liftshift, Burn in Noise, Avalon and more.

Playing more nighttime, groovy, and psychedelically soaked frequencies that are sonically charged and bursting with high-octane energy, 0dB always likes to craft unique blends in his futuristic and fresh sets.

Trypnautic has been mixing Psytrance for 10 years at events all over the UK and Europe. Now he is taking the knowledge and experience gained in how to keep a dance floor alight to his own music production. Still he appears for DJ sets as a staple of the Scottish psytrance scene & UK underground. He can play any style, fitting it for the particular vibe and time of day, from fresh day time sounds to night groovers & forest face-melters. Over the years he has an amassed an impressive catalogue of the best Psytrance and can play from dusk til dawn if given the opportunity

He manages the collective Shiva Sonic, who throw club nights in Edinburgh, run Psychedelic stages at festivals and the odd free party in the woods of Scotland and releases his own original music.
