In his recent Netflix special, "The Closer," Dave Chappelle opened a firestorm of controversy due to his attacks on cancel culture and the identity politics of modern America. Does Chappelle's comedy special cross the boundaries of acceptable discourse? Should such boundaries even exist? Has the political culture been poisoned with an intolerance that stifles creative freedom, or are various groups trying to protect themselves from the harms of an intolerant nation?

Out of the ashes of the experimental/industrial/alt metal duo, La Fin Absolute Du Monde, Bitter Lake was born.  We are a sonically dissonant, yet groovy explosion of passion and social consciousness.  Part Dead Kennedy’s, part Rage Against the Machine, Part Public Enemy.  Bitter Lake’s 3 song EP, “This is Not A War, This is Revolution” is an unrelenting introduction to the aural brutality of the raw rage that Bitter Lake unleashes on the listener.  

The music we create is just a reflection of the world we’re surrounded by.  Located in West Oakland, CA we’re bookended by the metropolitan tech mecca San Francisco, and growing homeless condition just across the street from where we create.  Inspired by the radical movements that came from the area we come from, Bitter Lake attempts to not only speak for the downtrodden, but to yell the concerns of the poor from the mountain tops.  With songs like “Betrayal” which speaks to the neoliberal sacrifice of the America, to “A Subtly (War on the Poor)” a song about the mass incarceration, which is nothing more than neo-slavery.  

Bitter Lake is the soundtrack to a movement.  We are a movement against fascism, poverty, racism, sexism, homophobia, climate destruction, and the oppressive neoliberal agenda.  

Speak. 

Truth.

Shout.

Freedom.

Depends of the production, the band, etc. But if it's there, means I Love it 😉But still, the best is coming ! I'm recording, working on my new LP. Benjamin vient du Rock. Au début des années 80, il est d’abord le leader, guitariste, auteur/compositeur du groupe Mistral (rock tendance énervée, PunK) avec lequel il enregistre deux albums pour des majors. Avec le premier album « Sexy Beau » (Pathé Marconi) et des titres comme « Les Fils de l’acier » et « C’est si facile », il se constitue un public fidèle et tourne avec U2, Talking Heads, Scorpions, INXS, etc. Le single « Unisex »  s’invite dans les Charts et lui ouvre une fenêtre sur l’international. A la fin de Mistral, il a le plaisir de collaborer avec PRINCE, durant trois mois, pour le tournage d’« Under The Cherry Moon ». Une expérience Musicale et Cinématographique ave le Prince de la POP ! C’est à Londres, ensuite, qu’il forme Ménage à Trois (deux hommes et une machine, New Wave) ; Amsterdam, Paris, Nice, partout en Europe.
