Nous avons commencé cette série en 1980. Nous sommes maintenant arrivés en 1986 à la musique dance des années 80. Il reflète la période de chaque année et examine comment la musique change d'année en année. En 1980, de nombreux éléments disco classiques des années 70 se sont répandus dans la nouvelle décennie. À partir de 1981, c'est plutôt le disco funk et le boogie qui dominent, ainsi que certaines productions post disco. En 1986, les claviers numériques et les boîtes à rythmes deviennent indispensables. Amusez-vous avec mon retour sur 1986.

Le spectacle débute avec Club Nouveau, la chanson a été samplée plusieurs fois par d'autres musiciens. Le duo hip-hop Luniz a interpolé la chanson sur leur single à succès "I Got 5 on It" en 1995. Vous pouvez également entendre la merveilleuse chanson "Stop Me From Starting This Feeling" de Lou Rawls. L'un des grands artistes de Philadelphie des années soixante-dix. Disparu depuis longtemps de Philadelphia International Records en 1986, il nous a fait un autre merveilleux cadeau avec cette chanson. D’ailleurs, il a été produit par nul autre que Jay Graydon. J'ai préparé un spécial sur lui il y a quelque temps. L'Italo disco était également un sujet important en Europe à l'époque. J'ai donc choisi "Aliens" de Radiorame comme représentant de ce genre. Les producteurs Mauro Farina et Giuliano Crivellente ont également connu un grand succès avec d'autres projets Italo disco à l'époque. Et à la fin de ce show, nous jetons un œil aux premiers trucs house avec JM Silk et Steve Silk Hurley.

Pete Bromley has been Stoke On Trent's top House DJ since 1989 and it has been an interesting and varied journey for him! Resident DJ at Stoke's first successful Underground Dance night 'Introspective' back in 1989 he went on to play at the infamous Shelleys Laserdome as well as other influential clubnights across the UK. Pete's next residency was to be at the Freetown in Hanley which would see him play alongside DJ's like Sasha & Dave Seaman. This would become the stepping stone to his next residency, the legendary Golden. Pete was the main resident DJ at Golden for an amazing 11 years which saw him play with the worlds biggest DJ's bar none. During this time he played many guest appearances at places such as Cream, Renaissance, Ministry Of Sound and DJ magazine listed him as one of the most popular resident DJ's in the world, resulting in his Essential Mix live on Radio 1 alongside Pete Tong at Sankeys in 1996. Quite an accolade seeing as he has never bolstered his career with international gigs, remixes or a recording career as 99% of producer/DJ's do these days. After Golden's demise In 2003, Pete then went on to become one of the resident DJ's at Satchmo's which has now become part of Stoke clubbing folkelore and his position has been cemented over the last years as resident DJ for the Move and their parties at The Sugarmill, Spode Warehouse & The Underground  playing alongside Jamie Jones, Patrick Topping, Solardo, Skream, Annie Mac, Derrick Carter, Pete Tong, MK, Todd Terry, Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Steve Lawler, Hot Since 82, Eats Everything, Darius Syrossian,Micheal Bibi, Alan Fitzpatrick, wAFF,  Dimitri From Paris, Kenny Dope, Low Steppa, Dan Shake amongst dozens of House musics elite. You can catch Pete at Back In The Day, Blue Collar Disco & Move events @ The Underground/Sugarmill Hanley, Stoke On Trent to see for yourself why he's been at the top of his game for all these years and still going strong!
