I was in band class in, I think it was 7th grade? For a very short period of time. I took the trombone and on the first day of class I swung it around like a sword and immediately got kicked out lol. That was my short stint at the trombone : D

Anyway, I made this sketch yesterday in under an hour and it sounds like it's got a lot of synthy brass sounds going on so I thought of that anecdote. Maybe get a laugh or two ; )

I know it's been like forever so I just wanted to post something today to stay relevant lol. This year has been a little more crazy than usual. The beginning started out great, musically. I was writing stuff all through March and then everything got really crazy at work and stayed that way all through the spring. I started to write here and there for the past couple of months but most of it has been some hot garbage.

Anyway, hopefully I'll be writing more stuff throughout the rest of the year and I hope everyone is staying cool.

Craypoe Productions presents an eclectic collection that brings together a diverse lineup of talented guest musicians, each lending their own unique voice to the songs of Bob Craypoe. Every lyric across the album was written by Bob, who also handled full production duties to ensure the record’s cohesive sound and vision.

The sessions were recorded at Bob Craypoe’s Crackle and Hiss Studios in Stillwater Township, New Jersey—a place where raw creativity and authenticity meet. Adding a rich and unexpected dimension to the project, the strings were performed by members of the Crandon Lakes Philharmonic Orchestra, giving the album moments of orchestral depth alongside its grittier tones.

The guest list spans across genres, featuring country pickers, punk rebels, seasoned rockers, and soulful blues musicians. This mix of backgrounds creates a dynamic listening experience, with each track carrying the spirit of collaboration while staying true to the working-class stories and heartfelt grit captured in Bob’s lyrics.

At its heart, this is a testament to the power of music as a shared language—rooted in tradition yet unafraid to cross boundaries, and always grounded in the voice of the people.
